Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince (2009)

This movie's going to be PG. I'm surprised, really... don't know what it means about the direction of the film, but there was more than a few scenes that should be disturbing that might come out like they're simply tip toeing through candy land.

I mean, the PG movies that were already made all have some pretty dark stuff in them. The spiders and snakes, and nearly-headless nick craning his head off to show his neck stub...

Seriously, unless it says bitch more than 3 time, says fuck, has gay sex, shows drug use, or there is a lot of blood and gore, it'll get a PG. I think it's cool. It'll still be dark and crazy and shit and get away with it.

Shit, blame that silly teen finger bang vampire movie for Potter being pushed back.

Now it's being released with no competition. It's money.

Not to mention, you're getting what, the 5th movie in almost as many years? No complaining.

I do too, Sherry. I can't wait until it comes out... but there is no way in hell that it should be pg. This is a dark story... and that should be reflected in the rating! *shrug*

There was a great SNL sketch where Lyndsay Lohan hosted. It's a Potter sketch, Lohan as the main chick, Hermie or whatever. But she had on a low cut shirt with a push-up bra showing massive clevage. The guys playing Potter and his pal just stared, it was funny.

You have to wonder, though. I mean, if Harry is anything like I was when I was 16, he'd be like checking out women from the back and telling Ron what he'd like to do with that.

I can't believe it was rated pg 13. Having a dark story doesn't constitute a strong rating. I could see the 4th maybe being pg 13 though.

Raiders of the lost Ark was rated PG. Nazi face melting and all.

Of course there was no PG-13 at the time.

I watched a documentary called This Film is NOt Yet Rated, At least I think that's what it's called. it was pretty good. I don't look at movie ratings the same since. I basically watch a movie before Alyssa does if it's not like a Disney movie or something. Those people are idiots.

well if they stay true to the book, Ron will be facially connected to Lavendar Brown for most of the movie.
