| Isn't that one chick have a porn name, like Lovegood or something? Weird. I was watching the Phoenix one the other day and the red headed kid said something about 'snogging', isn't that British talk for humping? -HECK! | |

| Snogging means kissing. But, I mean, these kids are 15... they've got to be talking about humping by this point.
And why are none of the teachers ever expelled for inappropriate displays of affection? Happened at my school. Happened at every school. Not Hogwarts...

| So if this prince only has half bood, what is the other half? This makes no medical sense. Unless he's an android!
DAMMIT! I should have figured. The rigid acting, emotionless expressions... all the Harry Potter characters are robots. -HECK!

| Oh damn... that looks sooooo f'n good!
You don't remember Dumbledore going to there and finding Tom Riddle? I remember that. I love Dumbledore's voice when Harry's asking him if he knew it then. "That I'd just met the darkest wizard of all time? ..... No." Eerie. It's going to be a good movie. Can't wait.

| Definitely Eerie. I loved the trailer. I'm definitely going to enjoy this movie. It'll be a Dumbledore heavy one, though I think fans have warmed to the new Dumbledore. I have. | |

| Yes, I think that fan have warmed up to him, because we've had no choice. Sure, he made the character of Dumbledore, different... but, he brought about an eccentric part of him that I felt was missing. I can't wait for this release. I CANT WAIT!!! Definitely want to see the midnight showing, if at all possible. And I want to see it with Sherry. | |

| I'll definitely be catching it in IMAX. It'll probably be a 2 am showing on the Friday the week it comes out. That tends to be the easiest session to get tickets.
No news of any of the movie being in 3D yet... the 3D sequence for Order of the Phoenix was pretty dope.

| I didn't see it in IMAX or 3D. Would LOVE to. But, I believe that they weren't showing HP in IMAX in SD. You had to drive up to LA. And I'm not doing a three hour drive, just to see a movie. | |

| What do they show in Sandy-Eggo's IMAX?
They only get about 6 or 7 different IMAX movies every year. The latest one is The Dark Knight... that'll be showing for quite a while, I'm not sure what the next movie will be... but HP and the OOTP was showing for 3 months, I think. I believe it only showed in 3D for about 3 weeks or so, though.

| Well, the only IMAX that I'm even aware of here in SD is the Space theatre... and it's a lot of nature and exploration type films. *shrug* | |

| Oh yeah, the one in Sydney used to play all of that crap when it first opened. I don't know if they moved onto showing IMAX films yet, I haven't been there in about 6 years or so.
The one in Taiwan ONLY plays the movies. So, actually, the cinema is sometimes closed around January/February, when there're no blockbusters showing.

| Well, our space/science theatre has been there for years. Not gonna change. I wish that we had one theatre dedicated to always showing IMAX films though. Hell, maybe we do and I'm just ignorant about it. Maybe Heck knows. (See, I said his name, so he's gonna have to find his way into this thread.) | |

| 'Harry Potter and The Half-Blood Prince' Moves to Summer 2009By Kit Bowen | Thursday, August 14, 2008 HOLLYWOOD - Oh no, we have to wait even longer? Warner Bros. Pictures today announced that it has moved back the release date of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince to summer 2009. The sixth installment of the blockbuster Harry Potter franchise will now open day-and-date domestically and in the major international markets on July 17, 2009. The announcement was made by Alan Horn, President and Chief Operating Officer, Warner Bros. who stated, “Our reasons for shifting Half-Blood Prince to summer are twofold: we know the summer season is an ideal window for a family tent pole release, as proven by the success of our last Harry Potter film, which is the second-highest grossing film in the franchise, behind only the first installment. Additionally, like every other studio, we are still feeling the repercussions of the writers’ strike, which impacted the readiness of scripts for other films--changing the competitive landscape for 2009 and offering new windows of opportunity that we wanted to take advantage of. We agreed the best strategy was to move Half-Blood Prince to July, where it perfectly fills the gap for a major tent pole release for mid-summer.” Ouch, a little dig at the Writers Guild, there. Warner Bros. also added that this switch won’t affect the studio’s release plans for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, the seventh Harry Potter installment, which will be released in two parts. David Heyman, the producer of all the Harry Potter films, offered, “…it was immediately apparent that [the move to summer 2009] offered us the potential to reach the widest possible audience. I am extremely proud of this latest film and of the work of David Yates and our incomparable cast; I believe we have developed and pushed the series further still. We are all looking forward to sharing it with Harry Potter fans around the world, even if we have to wait just a bit longer.” Um, yeah! Not really fair but OK, if we must wait, we will. | |
