So in an act of procrastination I decide to run through the over 340 spam comments on my abandoned blog when suddenly I come across a message from Whidden. Imagine my surprise.

Nostalgically nodding to the days when I was 16, jobless, and spent almost an entire summer on InReview, I registered here and now give a wave to all the internet personalities I haven't typed to in well over a year (or two?).

It's been a long time, but unfortunately I have to retreat back into the pile of books on my bed and figure out all the aspects of history from the begining of time until the Glorious Revolution.

Perhaps in another year or two I'll pop up again,

That was good timing, I just left that yesterday or the day before. I was looking at the old Matrix Club thread over at Inreview and decided it wouldn't be the same without you signing up. Thankfully, Spaliznad is an easy name to search for.

On another note, God ended up replacing the LotR commandment with "Thou Shalt Not Take The Lord's Name In Vain," which I think may just be a slightly askew version of the original commandment.

If you drank in the Matrix, then you were drunk in the real world when you were attached to the pod.

But once you were free, and you went back to The Matrix and drank, would your mind make you think you're drink?

Ergo, could you be drunk in The Matrix and never consume a drip of alcohol? Can the mind release the drunk feeling with never touching a beer?

I think you would sober up.

I think so because when Morpheus got ankle shot, he was limping in the Matrix, but I'm sure he was all healed up in the real world as soon as he woke up.

Same would apply to drugs, but maybe not, as drugs make your brain chemistry all funky, and if the Matrix did it, you might wake up in the real world, and the brain chemistry itself is still all funky, so you might stay drunk for awhile, but not have the after effects of the hangover.

So the power could be in all of us to be drunk without drinking.

I think we're on to something here.

In real life, after the beatles was doing all those drugs, the one beatle, what'shisname, George Harrison, got sick of the drugs and the side effects, so he sought out some Eastern Mystics, and found the one dude that wasn't quite a Dali Lama, but kinda close.

Good enough for my post anyhow.

His goal was to get high off spiritulism, and it does work to a certain extent, if you meditate enough, you can achieve a level of euphoria, comparable to being drunk or high.

I'v never tried it myself, I'd rather just grab a beer and be done with it, than sit in some room for 10 hours and chant stuff.
