Best Movie Theater Snack!

I am movie guy. My biggest hobby since I was a lad was to go to the movies. Loved it. Still do. Quite often I bring in snacks with me, of course once in a while I can't pass up the theater popcorn.

Anyway, what are some of your favorite snacks to take or buy at the movies?

As a kid I would bring two things:

Mamba and a Sugar Daddy.

Mamba is like the bastard cousin of Starburst but better from where I sit. More pieces, easier to chew, more tasty.

Sugar Daddy was the epitome of theater candy. It looks like a really thing chocolate ice cream bar but it's this hard ass candy that you gnaw at endlessly.

These days it starts and ends with:

A bag of David Sunflower Seeds and/or Caffeine Free soda, and/or tall can of beer.

Sunflower seeds. I LOVE taking them with me to the movies.

I HATE paying the movie theatre prices. Spending $10 for a small popcorn and a soda is crazy. I refuse.

Gotta have the Red Vines. They are soooo good.

Ohhhhhh... you're so right, Sher. I like having a big bag of red vines. We've brought them with us several times.

The best place to get movie theater candy to smuggle in is at the Walmart by my house. It's like 90 cents a box! Mmmmm yummy Charlton Chews.

Red Vines, oh yeah. Biting off the ends and using it as a straw is great.

Oh- Peanuttles, the bomb. With a Mr. Pibb, hells yeah.

Cracker Jack is good too, but the box isn't big enough. Done in like a second.

Oh yeah... we would goto Target, Wal Mart, or 7/11, and then load up on snacks!!! I taken trail mix, sodas, candy, McD's, etc... many, many times.

I always preferred candy that would go the distance. You could munch on it througout. Candy bars would never make it. M & M's and Reese's Pieces were good but once you start poppin' those bad boys they're gone.

Bit-O-Honey was a chore. Something you would get tired of and pick up again in the second act.

I always snuck in Red Vines...as a kid they totally made me break out, but I ate 'em anyway! Now, it's good n plenty or sour patch kids!!! I love sour! Where do you all buy peanuttles??

I love movie theatre popcorn. I'll bring in my own snacks though. I'm all about the goobers or peanut m&ms. And sho' nuff, the bag of m&ms is finished by the time the previews are over.

...Have you tried Costco hotdogs? SOOOOOOOOOo...GOOD!! Only hotdogs I eat: Costco and Dodger Dogs! MMmmm! I always get a salted pretzel now too! So good! Food is JUST GOOD!!

Oh well, yeah dodger dogs aren't hot dogs. they're "DODGER DOGS" they're in their own class!!!

I admit, cosco hot dogs are delish, but the courtyard theatre hot dogs are heavenly.

My sister and I went to the movies today to see National Treasure 2: Book of Secrets...I scarfed down my salted pretzel :yummy: and was pissed when I realized I'd forgotten my Diet Coke w/ Lime!! What a wasted movie trip! I left my sour patch kids home also! (We went early...I was tired and forgot a lot!)
