http://www.zeitgeistmovie.com/index.html

2 hours long (approximately), the first part is on religion, the second is on 9/11 and the final section is on some banking whatsie.

I like the religion section, I'm quite in tune with it. The 9/11 section is debateable, but interesting. Didn't get to the banking-whatsie section. The whole video wouldn't load for me. No biggie.

But this is the kind of video that could either start a good, healthy debate on organized religion and politics, or could just have people shrugging and going "ah, yeah, I s'pose that's true."

I buy the first part of it wholeheartedly, and I'm sure a lot of religious folk would too. Though the idea of Jesus being nothing more than a man, to some, would just be unacceptable.

I've tried to find rebuttles to a lot of this, but I haven't come across many. There's a bit about him not citing specific sources, but there's a whole page of stuff listing books people can read on the subject... no point by point run down calling it outright BS that I can find.

the ending is frickin shocking, I'm at a lost right now

Here is the statement off the website

Welcome to the Official Site for 'Zeitgeist, the Movie.'
Since the emergence of the work in late June, 2007, many other websites,
organizations and posts have fallaciously claimed connections to the work.
P
lease note that 'Zeitgeist', along with this site, has no direct affiliation with
anything else online.

Zeitgeist, produced by Peter Joseph, was created as a nonprofit filmiac expression to
inspire people to start looking at the world from a more critical perspective and to understand that
very often things are not what the population at large think they are. The information in Zeitgeist
was established over a year long period of research and the current Source page on
this site lists the basic sources used / referenced and the
Interactive Transcript includes
exact source references and further information.

Now, it's important to point out that there is a tendency to simply disbelieve things that are
counter to our understanding, without the necessary research performed.
For example, some information contained in Part 1 and Part 3, specifically, is not obtained
by simple keyword searches on the Internet. You have to dig deeper. For instance,
very often people who look up "Horus" or "The Federal Reserve" on the Internet
draw their conclusions from very general or biased sources. Online encyclopedias or text book
Encyclopedias often do not contain the information contained in Zeitgeist. However, if one takes
the time to read the sources provided, they will find that what is being presented is
based on documented evidence. Any corrections, clarifications & further points regarding the film
are found on the Clarifications page.
Non-Profit DVDs / Free Video Downloads are
available through the Downloads page.

That being said, It is my hope that people will not take what is said
in the film as the truth, but find out for themselves, for truth is not told, it is realized.

Thank You

the movie itself isn't really about religion, it's more about the tactics used to control society and how society it being manipulated to believe what the men behind the curtains want them to, the road that that's taking the world down. I honestly think the first part will make a lot of people shut down to the rest of the movie. Like I'll use Jamie as an example, he's is likely to get the last two parts, but I know that hewould completely dismiss the idea of the 2nd and 3rd part because of the first part. some people just can't questions things like that. and it's not so much that in order to believe the message of the movie you have to take the movie for 100% truth, or that if you agree with what it's saying that you have no faith, I mean, like I totally get the 1st part, but that dosen't mean that I still don't have faith. And the fact that people are tought not to question thats gotten us to where we are today.

My cousin is crazy for this movie, but after she told us all about it
my mom went online and found some stuff on YouTube with this Canadian
guy going through all of it and calling it all bullshit. Looks like he
took notes during the movie because he is flipping through all these
notebooks and quoting the movie then looking at his webcam and saying
why that ain't so. From what I've heard about the movie, it sounds like
it's really interesting, so it's too bad that big parts of it don't pan
out. I'll have to try to find those YouTube clips.

If you find the youtube clips that'd be good. I kind of want to see how the debate on the movie goes... but, seriously, I do still buy the general premise of the film no matter what people say to the contrary.

They have stuff out there that talks about the debunking 911 myths, but not all the debunking really debunks some stuff if you ask me.
