Whidden's rant on Shutter Island

Saw this last weekend.

SPOILERS.




Aight. Had the movie figured out, all the twists, all the plot, all the secrets in the first 10 seconds. It took that quick.

I leaned to Sandy and said, "you got it figured out yet?"

Took her about 20 minutes.


My thoughts:

Acting was awesome. Film and music were awesome.

Plot sucked. A five year old kid could figure it out from frame one. It's like they didn't even try. Just silly. I got bored in spots. No tension.

If I didn't know the twist ending,

that he is the mental patient,

the whole movie, maybe it would have been some tense moments.

I give it a D.

Geez, I guessed the twist plot merely by watching the trailer. That 'I see dead people ' movie has ruined it for us all

Yep. Kept waiting for them to throw us a REAL TRICK, and not have him be the mental patient.

It was just stupid to do it like they did it.

I really wanted to see this. I guess it's better I know ahead of time (I didn't read the spoiler, but when I read "I see dead people" I was like oh okay, and knew what you meant. Not a big deal to me.

Same really, looked good.

Film is good, looks neato. Music is fun.

Acting is good.


Plot sucks. Just some bad writing. I scare easy, and I was never scared, not even once.
