Date Night (2010)

A regular old date night becomes much more than one couple expected.

Steve Carrell and Tina Fey are set to shoot the big-screen comedy Date Night this year, and the story "follows a couple who find their routine date night becomes much more than just dinner and a movie."

Director Shawn Levy (Night at the Museum) tells the trade he wants to do a "relatable, grounded character comedy about marriage and the lengths we go to preserve the spark."

Also starring Mila Kunis, Mark Wahlberg.

On paper this looks awesome yes? Steve Carrell and Tina Fey; it's either going to be absolutely awesome, or a complete and utter failure.

I hate Tina Fey. She's like a younger version of Maude.

I hated Tina Fey before too. But I've gotten into 30 Rock some how and now I just want to wreck that, for real. I'll try and catch "Baby Mama" and if I don't mind it I might consider this.

Baby Mama was alright, standard funny, nothing out of the ordinary, her character is very similar to Liz Lemon on 30 Rock, so you should get a kick out of that.

There was a couple of episodes in 30 Rock that were on Liz wanting a baby. So have I already seen Baby Mama?

Yeah pretty much, except with a few "my surragate is an idiot" jokes thrown in.

So, mixing it with those friends episodes where Monica was adopting a baby. Got it.

Exactly. Except no Alec Baldwin.

Steve Martin is in it breifly and acts silly.

That one dude is in it, fuck, um... the guy from Idiocracy and Employee of the Month. Not the main dude in either flick. Goofy guy. Comedy.

Steve Carrell can carry this flick hopefully.

I hate Steve Martin. I seriously do. He was alright in Pink Panther and MAYBE Man With Two Brains, but beyond that... what? What has he done that's any good?

Pink Panther? WTF? That was terrible.

Heheh yeah, lots of people hate it. I don't mind it, it was as funny as his movies are going to get.

Remaking the Pink Panter was a stupid idea. Already done to perfection.

Steve Martin has done a ton of good movies... Three Amigos, All of Me, The Jerk, Planes, Trains, & Automobiles...

His early work on SNL was great.

Watched Pink Panther 2 last night. Just as funny as the first.

Dunno, always been a Martin fan. Maybe I'm an aplogist for him, but dude makes me giggle. Same with old school Tom Hanks.

I thought of another Steve Martin movie that I like. Dead Men Don't Wear Plaid. Absolutely hilarious!

It actually looks alright. I think some of the jokes will be pretty predictable. But it doesn't look bad.

Looks kinda funny and cool. "Killshot! That's a killshot!"

I might know a guy who knows a guy who has the screenplay. Holla.
