Endless Night

Just got this today. Plan on starting it tonight.

This is a good one, but you'll probably find the formula not too different from the past couple of books you've read. Basically a good guy, but is corrupted by the smell of p***y. If I remember right, it's a bit of a cat-and-mouse story, so it's a bit different.

Also, this Simon fellow isn't that much of a 'good' guy.

Well it certainly doesn't sound like it from the discription of the book. I guess I'll have to wait and see huh.

I just started reading the book and I'm about 25 pages in. I had to put it down for a second because when it starts it just takes off. There's no build up to the book it just starts. It just already has me tense. It's crazy that a book can do that so fast.

It sort of does it on the second page, right? Or was it the first. It was like woooo...

WEll it starts with them hearing something on the first page, and then the action really starts on the 7th page.

Right, she opens the door and gets poked in the tummy. Was poked because her best friend was impaled. Niiiice.

Yeah. I'm to the part where apparently the cops and stuff are at the house. The girl and the boy are behind a fence. It's starting Simons part.

Interesting. I forget what happens exactly.

It looks like it could be the end of the book, but seeing how it's only 70 pages in it can't be. I just can't imagine that the rest of the book will be more of the same, them running from house to house escaping the bad guys. Must get mixed up somehow.

I don't exactly remember what happens... I do know Simon has to find them, and they escape from him. Also I remember the opening chapter. Other than that, the books a bit of a blank. I think I read it 10 or 11 years ago.

Well, I guess I'll soon find out.

OKay so I haven't found out so soon. I'm still reading the damn things and only 180 pages in. I haven't read any in about a week though. Not sure why, just haven't felt the urge. Maybe I'll start it back though.

What's happening? Anything you can give me would be good, because I don't remember a single thing.

UMmmm when I left off with Simon he was recording the nights events at someones hold he was hiding out in until he could get a car. The chick, can't remember her name righ tnow, she was with her dad, they had takin the friends brother off to stay with his uncle. They were making hamburgers and she went outside and got shot, but she not dead, it was like a scratch.

I hope her dad doesn't die.

Now we are back to Simon but I haven't started reading that part so I don't know what's up.

Is the chick's name Jane?

I don't know why, but it's the first name that came to mind.

It's Jody. I had to go to the first page of the thread and read the description.

Oh yeah, Jody... forget the other kid's name.

See I forget they even go back to the father... Was he a cop? I seem to remember that he was. I forget what happens to him, if anything happens at all.

Don't remember Jody being shot either!

Amazing... I need to read this one again.

I can't think of the other kids name either, I think it's like Arnold or Andy or Auther maybe. Definately an A name.

She didn't get shot shot though, they we shooting at her and one bounced of the pavement and hit her legs, just a scratch really.

The dad is a cop though.

OKay I finally finished this book a week or so ago. It was alright. Not my fav by far but still good. The ending was messed up. Very gory book.

What happened at the end? Seriously, I don't remember.

Andy and Jody think they are in the clear and go back to her house. They said all the guys dies in a fire and they found the tapes.. But Simon isn't dead and he shows up. He had planted a body in the fire to make it look like him. He shot up the dad and chpped Andy's head off and tied Jody to a bed. He was getting ready to rape her when the dad pops up and blows his head off. Then Jody and dad lay there talking and joking till the cops get there.
