| Sheamus O'Shaunessy has defeated John Cena to win the WWE Title! It's a triumph for British wrestling! Its a triumph for European wrestling! The first European to hold the title since Andre the Giant held it for 45 second in his one and only title reign in February of 1988! The first proper WWE/World Title reign of a European in the history of the company! First Drew McIntyre getting the IC Title and now SOS getting the WWE title! The only way this night could have been any better for me would be if Regal had been challenging for the ECW Title earlier in the night and won that (but he wasn't on the card at all), nonetheless this is one of the greatest night British wrestling has ever had in the WWE! | |

| I am just pleased that Cena lost the title and seeing the reaction his no 1 fan jerry lawler, like i said anyone but the big 4 wrestlers winning it is good but I have a funny feeling that we will see a title change tonight on Raw I think these title changes last night were an attempt to convince us that WWE has not become as predictable as we all know it really has. | |

| You never know how things will turn out. The Great Khali won the World title a while ago and everyone thought he was going to lose it soon after but held it for a couple of months. Then again when Kane won it for the first and only time he only held it for a night before losing it to Stone Cold the next day. I hope Sheamus reign will be more like Khali than Kane's and he holds the belt until at least No Way Out (or whatever crappy name they chose for it in the future).
There may be some controversy tonight as Cena may not have technically been put through the table, as Lawler pointed out last night, but it's too late to change things now. Cena will probably get his rematch but so long he leaves it until the Royal Rumble and as long as Orton doesn't win it then I will be happy.
I want a proper reign of a European in the WWE. There has never been one before and if the WWE doesn't allow it the there just proving their bias against anyone who isn't American or Canadian.

| I have a feeling thats the way this'll go as well, considering Cena claimed that he will never lose until he regains the title. He became extreme-Cena for this very purpose (which essentially mean the same old Cena but with more shouting).
Personally I hope Sheamus wins and gets to keep the title for a bit longer but I have a feeling that Cena's going to regain ti tonight anyway.
If it were up to me what I would have done was have Randy Orton defeat Cena a couple of weeks ago to win Superstar of the Year and go into a feud with Sheamus leading to a match at the Rumble and potentially to No Way Out (or whatever the WWE call it this year) but have Sheamus emerge victorious. In the meanwhile Cena goes into an unbeaten streak through the Rumble, winning either the Rumble itself or the RAW No.1 Contender thing and going on to face Sheamus at Wrestlemania.
Doing that would give Sheamus time to establish himself in the main-event and make him a respectable champion to more people and make his title reign meaningful.
Still, I really hope Sheamus wins tonight.

Anyway, from an online result write up, what happens tonight is that Sheamus dominates the match but Cena does the Hogan routine of coming back at the end to gain the upper hand and come closer to win but then Sheamus knocks over the ref and gets DQed so Cena wins by DQ by doesn't get the title - which I'm all in favor of - but Cena ends the show on top have executed his rubbish submission hold and gotten Sheamus to tap out and poses for the fans as the show goes off air.
