| Independence Day! We owe so much to our founding fathers. They were brave enough to take on the most powerful county in the world, and their efforts gave us the freedoms that we enjoy today.
I hope everyone has a safe and fun holiday. Grant and Emma, you are not American's but you could hoist an American brew today. :drunk:

| I just hoisted a few Mexican brews. Nick sent a check to buy something for Paige, so I got her a new big girl pool, and I got a lounge chair to read by the pool while she plays. We just spent two hours out there and I'm ready for A/C. It was also 8 years ago today I moved in with Nick. I miss him, darnit! | |

| My mom's birthday in the 4th, we went over to Sandy's parents and had a dinner/birthday party. Sandy's mom go on youtube and we watched a Lee Greenwood Proud to be and American video with rustic scenes and flags in it and stuff. Then they said a prayer. Came home and watched fireworks all night. | |

| You could see heaps of fireworks around where you were ?
I didn't have an American beer, I wasn't in a drinking mood, but I had some stollies last night. Reminded me of the cold war and how you scared those commie bastards into line.
Best I could do... | |

| Most cities put them on, we could see some from Jenks, and all the white trash around gets fire works and sets them off. It's illegal in Tulsa County, but we live in Creek county. | |

| We get firecrackers at Chinese New Year, but never gotten a hold of fireworks. That'd be awesome if we could... | |

| They had some good ones. We were across the street and the kids were lighting them. They shot up and made loud booms, and were about the size of a tree at the top. Others were smaller, but would zip up like a ufo, then speed away with a zip. Some were just funky roman candles, those were cool too. | |

| I remember just after the movie E.T. came out, maybe a year later - I'm not sure - they had some fireworks that went off, and when they went off little ET fellas parachuted from the sky.
Which confused me, because I didn't remember ET parachuting.

| You sure it wasn't Point Break? Bodhi and Neo did some parachuting stuff. | |

| So you think they had little Keanu dolls parachuting down?
Actually, I brought it up because I always wanted to know how they did it without frying the toys. There has to be some sort of explosion to make fireworks work, right?

| Uh, it explodes, but they make the paper like a gun barrel, it explodes at the bottom, and it shoots out the projectile.
Sometimes, the explosion will light a fuse, and then later in the sky, the rest of the firework will blow up.
But I don't remember Bodhi getting shot up like that, they just took off in a plane, while his bro bleed to death. Then Neo jumped after him, though he didn't have a chute. E.T. floated by sometime after that, but it has been awhile since I saw the movie.
But I did see the E.T.'s in Star Wars Episode One, in the senate chamber, so that proves that the crap E.T. was using on Elliot was the force.
Sure, his finger glowed, but it was the force dude, it was the force.

| Is that for real? ET is seen in the senate chamber? That's awesome if it's true. I must say I never bothered to look.
Going back to the fourth of July. I got sick of people wishing me a happy fourth of July on Friday. It was like... everybody I passed. "Happy fourth of july!" "happy ing-ben-dan-si day." I'm not American damn it.

| But that can't be E.T., he wouldn't have been born yet. Star Wars was set a long time ago in a galaxy far away. It could be a few of E.T.'s ancestors though.
I know what you're thinking. E.T. could be a thousand and something years old, right? I thought of that. E.T. couldn't have been that old.
I mean, when do you ever see old people eating skittles?

| Yeah, but the way Lucas backtracks and **** (C3PO the creation of young Vader) , a long long time ago could be the 1950's and far far away could be the moon. | |
