| I was at the grocery store the other day, and I saw this cart full of beer. It had little tied off red nets, with five beers each in them, for $2.99 each. Some of them were really good beers! I thought to myself "now that's good idea!" The store was obviously well-managed. They were probably left over beers from six/twelve packs that had had one or more of the beers broken/stolen from it. Instead of writing it off and then throwing it out (and not letting the employees have any!) like most (idiot) managers do, they found a way to make it sellable. A lot of them I haven't had before, I'll comment here as I drink them. (if the woman doesn't drink them first.) | |

| drank a Miller High Life, "the champagne of beers."
drank that one first, cuz it was the crappiest one in the batch.
it's piss beer, but you can't go wrong with Miller High Life. My biggest problem with it was that it was only 12 oz. I'm used to drinking them in 40's.

| I drank the Harp Lager while I was making some 7-layer dip. It's a real beer-tasting beer. You can't go wrong with that. Also, beer goes really well with 7 layer dip. | |

| Subject: Road Dog Sat Mar 01, 2008 6:54 pm | |
| Here's one I haven't had before. It's from the Flying Dog Brewery. It's called Road Dog. It's a porter. It's got that real dark, bitter taste. Like I care about the taste. After I drink a few beers I won't be tasting them anymore anyway. But it says "Good people drink good beer," which is a quote from Hunter S. Thompson, which is awesome. It also says "Good beer, No shit." I approve. | |

| If someone was to blog in here about an alcoholic beverage that wasn't a beer, would that be acceptable? I mean, if it was, say, a scotch? Or, even if that is unacceptable, what if it was a lager? Or an ale?
I'm terribly confuddled right now.

| Beer is good.
Tsingdao is a good beer. Commies know their beer, despite the insanity. Perhaps because of the insanity, who knows?

-HECK! Same thing, but we get it brewed in Taiwan. Yours is probably brewed in China. Never had that myself. Not sure if it tastes different.

| And for the record, Fosters sucks. With exception to my dad, nobody in Australia drinks it. If you want a good Australian beer, I'd recommend Cascade Or Tooheys New | |

UNLESS they're outside Australia in which case we feel it is our patriotic duty to drink it. I drank Fosters when I went to England and I've NEVER drunk Fosters over here. It's soooo gross, but over there it tasted okay-ish, I'm not a big beer drinker anyway, so a pint of any beer is a big ask for me,but i drank that Fosters. I have heard other similar stories from other Aussies in the UK, that heaps of them drink Fosters and I've heard that the Aussies in the backpacker hostels drinking it too. It's a phenomenon that needs investigating.

I'm terribly confuddled right now. As far as I'm concerned, lager and ale all fall under the umbrella of beer.

But I'll hand it to the Irish for creating Guinness.

| The beer Flat Tyre is mentioned in the movie Fast Food Nation.
A waiter serves one to Bruce Willis, if I remember correctly.
