| It wasn't brilliant, but I didn't hate it. It was just all over the place, and I didn't see any real moral to it (though it was obvious they had one in mind, it was completely lost on me. So curing mutants was good? Bad? Huh?).
If they'd had sentinals, I mean full-on sentinals throughout the movie, it would've been the shit.

| Cyclops, Prof. X, and Marvel Girl dying? Bullshit. Fudge that movie up its fudgin' ass. You don't snuff 3 OG X-Men, especially one in the first few minutes of the movie. And it takes away from a totally sweet performance of Kelsey Grammer (sp?) as Beast. He was so damn nails. The Ice Man Shadowcat romance was okay, but Rogue barely being in it and trying to lose her powers was shit sauce. Angel was cool, but still salt. I disagree with the movie as a whole. -HECK! | |

| If I was icestorm I'd be hitting Kitty and leading Rogue on for as long as humanly possible. She was hot, but not Kitty hot.
Kelsey Grammar was awesome.
The whole cure thing pissed me off. They announced it, but it wasn't like the government was forcing it upon anybody. They just chose bad words... and Storm was a fucking moron. SHe's like "what kind of a wimp'd want to get rid of their powers" and Rogue comes running in yelling "is it true? I'm gonna get laid, at long last?"
Cyclops dying was just weird. Kind of pointless too. I mean, by that point in the movie, you didn't really get around to caring if he was dead or not.

| For starters, it's Iceman, thanks. And he was pimp in that movie. He almost junked Juno. Beast was the absolute shit. Total best part of the flick. Cure was a good idea, in theory. The way they handled it was shit. I actually liked Storm the most in this movie. Cyclops going tits up so gayly was the worst. Total pointless. I hated the whole thing from there. If you want, I can speak on the comedy that was the midnight showing of that movie with me and the boys. -HECK! | |

I was preparing for my toasting of Storm and got ahead of myself. Call me racist if you want, but she was lame. Why in the world Prof. X would want to pass the school onto her is beyond me. - Quote :

| It's how he got the adamantium. Mutants are born with abilities. His a healing factor. Signed up for an experiment, became 'Weapon X' and had his skeleton fused with adamantium. His memory was wiped. The X-Men movies dealt with his past here and there. Flashbacks and what not. This flick dives into it, but from the previews it looks like a total deviation from the comic storyline. -HECK! | |

| I don't understand the preview for it though, it shows Wolverine as a little kid with blades in his hands stabbing some guy. I thought he didn't get the blades until he was an adult? Or is that some kind of dream sequence? Confused.
Also the helicopter thing at the end of the preview is just ridiculous.

| Let me try to explain. Now, I am no super Wolverine expert. Very far from it. I was, and in some small ways still, a comic book guy. All I can offer you is the following... There was a X-Men storyline where Magneto removed all the adumantiumliumsperdon (I can't spell that shit off hand and I'm certainly not going to Google it right now. Surely I could have Google'd it in this short span of time but that's not the point.) Basically, Magneto ripped out... that metal... then Wolverine had 'bone claws' that were just like his metal ones. Happened about 10 years ago in comic time, and as memory serves it was a shock to readers and comic fans alike. Shitballs. -HECK! | |

| Here's what I pulled from Wikipedia.... FICTIONAL CHARACTER BIOGRAPHY Born in 19th century Canada to rich plantation owners, James Howlett grows into manhood on a mining colony in Northern Alberta, adopting the name "Logan", which is the last name of the plantation groundskeeper, Thomas Logan and his son Dog. [15] Logan leaves the colony and lives for a time in the wilderness among wolves, until returning to civilization, residing with the Blackfoot Indians. Following the death of his Blackfoot paramour, Silver Fox, he is ushered into a Canadian military unit. Logan then spends some time in Madripoor, developing his "Patch" persona; before settling in Japan, where he marries and has a son. During World War II, Logan teams with Captain America versus HYDRA, and continues a career as a soldier-of-fortune/adventurer. Logan works for the First Canadian Parachute Battalion [16] and the CIA before being recruited for Team X. As a member of Team X, Logan is given false memory implants. He continues on the team, until he is able to break free of the mental control and joins the Canadian Defense Ministry. Logan is subsequently kidnapped by Weapon X, where he remains captive and experimented on, until his rescue by the Winter Soldier, after which he returns to the Canadian wilderness. It is during his imprisonment by Weapon X that he has unbreakble adamantium forcibly fused into his bones. Logan is eventually discovered by James and Heather Hudson, who help him recover his humanity. Following his recovery, Logan, this time under the supervision of Department H, once again works for Canadian Intelligence. Logan becomes Wolverine, one of Canada's first superheroes. In his first mission, he is dispatched to stop the destruction caused by a brawl between the Hulk and the Wendigo. Professor X recruits Wolverine to a new team of X-Men. [17] Disillusioned with his Canadian intelligence work and intrigued by Xavier's offer, Logan resigns from Department H. Logan continues to adventure as a superhero, eventually recovering his memories. [18]In X-Men #25 (1993), at the culmination of the " Fatal Attractions" crossover, the supervillain Magneto forcibly removes the adamantium from Wolverine's skeleton. This massive trauma causes his healing factor to burn out and also leads to the discovery that his claws are actually bone. Wolverine leaves the X-Men for a time, embarking on a series of adventures during which his healing factor returns, greatly increased in speed and efficiency. After his return to the X-Men, Cable's son Genesis kidnaps Wolverine and attempts to re-bond adamantium to his skeleton. [19] This is unsuccessful and causes Wolverine's mutation to accelerate out of control. He is temporarily changed into a semi-sentient beast-like form in which he gains greater physical power than ever before, at the price of part of his humanity; he kills Genesis shortly after this occurs. Finally, the villain Apocalypse captures Wolverine, brainwashes him, and has the adamantium re-bonded to his skeleton successfully. Wolverine overcomes Apocalypse's programming and returns to the X-Men. | |

That is actually true. Marvel comics dragged their ass for years about Wolverine's past. And a Wiki entry could be disproved tomorrow by a new plot twist. Judging by the trailer, comic lore is to the wind. It's totally different, for better or worse. I will flip a coin on this. Regardless, Dek is right. -HECK!

-HECK! SPEAK. Forgot to elaborate. So, there was a midnight showing of this movie. We had our weekly poker night my buddy's house who lived by the theater. Poker breaks before 11pm, we are all shitfaced. Most of us, anyway. We stroll in and heckled this movie in a drunken state. Everyone around us was laughing and chiming in. I went into a coughing fit for about 5 min. By the end one of my friends was standing up and verbally assaulting the screen. Every word in the book. Hilarious. Maybe it's one of those 'had to be there' deals. -HECK!
