| I wouldn't run, I'd head butt them, steal their gun and put them into a choker hold and cut off their airways, while shooting the two guards who run through the door. When they're down, I break the guy's neck and take his keys, so I can escape through the basement and steal his car. But that's just me. | |

| I found the quote, I will type it out. I found it quite RUDE!!! :woops: Then something happens which takes my mind completly off my nose. A huge object-it feels like a glass baseball bat-is rammed rudely up my rectum. Once more I try to scream and can produce on the faint, wretched humming. Dear God, what have they stuck up my ass? Some sort of cattle thermometer? If it was a little longer, I think, I could tasted the bulb at the end. And they didn't exactly go crazy on the lubricant did they? I'm dead after all. | |

| I'm glad King didn't go into too much detail about how that one felt, because... seriously? Ouch. It's an interesting idea for a story, but I'm sure Edgar Allan Poe wrote a similar story once. I remember one about a guy being buried alive, but I don't remember if he was autopsied or not... | |

| I'v read similar things and seen stuff on t.v., but I can't remember the exact details. The story just felt old to me. | |

| I bought this book over my long weekend. They had 2 versions, one from 2005 with a cover featuring a couple of wine glasses with blood; another with an advertisement for 1408 on it. I got the earlier one, because I hate books with the movie poster on the cover. Lame! | |

| Yep, I think it's from the Gotham Cafe, it had a line about a drop of blood going into a glass of water, and it looked like a bloody tadpole. | |

| Yeah, that'd be the one I started that autopsy story. Kind of dull, I admit. I didn't even bother finishing it. | |

| Probably half of it. These kinds of books get me into a couple of stories, which I like, but when I have to start liking or disliking a new set of characters, it's a bit tiring. I tend to turn over to a new novel before finishing. I'll get around the rest one day. | |
