| This is funny as hell, but I'm not sure if you have to be Australian to appreciate it. Schmiggens is all excited that this video's doing the rounds. I want to marry this woman, because she's hot and pretty dumb. http://www.dlisted.com/node/32150For the record, 'wog' is a racial slur. 'Fully sick' means fully sick. | |

| I like to think we helped promote the video on the internet. Plus it's not very often Australians get a mention in US news, even if it just a gossip web site. We helped make Clare an international celebrity, she should be thanking us personally! I accept cash only, no credit cards. | |

| She'll be on A Current Affair Monday night.
Though I don't know why I say that, Schmiggens is the only one who can watch it and I already told her. I don't know.

- Eye Witness Who Made Up Shooting Account Becomes YouTube Hit
Internet sensation Clare Werbeloff, instantly famous for her eyewitness account of a shooting last weekend in Australia, has admitted she fabricated the story.
The Sunday Telegraphreveals the 19-year-old told investigating police that she "made the whole thing up." "We've spoken to her, but she's not a witness to the shooting," a senior Kings Cross officer said.
"She's told police that she didn't actually see it."
In an interview with Channel Nine immediately after the shooting, Werbeloff gave a vivid account which was posted on YouTube and attracted more than 200,000 views.
"There were these two wogs fighting," Werbeloff told Channel Nine. "The fatter wog said to the skinnier wog, 'Oi bro, you slept with my cousin.' And the other one said, 'Nah man, I didn't for s***, eh' and the other one goes, 'I will call on my fully sick boys, eh.' And then pulled out a gun and went: Ch-k ch-k boom!"
But her detailed eye-witness account was false.
As Werbeloff's newly hired agent, Adam Abrams, confirmed, "She was not a witness. She saw the camera, ran over to it and told this story."
Abrams said Werbeloff had gone into hiding after having media camped outside her home.
She has also signed a contract with Channel Nine's A Current Affair and is likely to appear Monday night. Abrams denied she has received payment for the interview.
"She wanted to get the truth out there after the police contacted her about being a witness," Abrams said.
On Friday the footage was attracting more than 17,000 viewers an hour on Channel Nine's MSN Web site.
A parody dance song was created using her quotes, while T-shirts and mugs emblazoned with her words and image were being sold just a day after the clips were uploaded.
The day after the shooting, Werbeloff wrote on her Facebook page, "You all got Punk'd" — adding later, "I can't believe how big it's got. It's a joke."On Wednesday she added: "Got a little too loose in the Cross on Sat ha ha enjoy my clip."
The shooting victim, Justin Kallu, 27, said earlier this week, "I'm just a bit upset about the fact that I've been shot and that I almost lost my life and there's this girl all over the news getting popular all because she has no brains." http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,521430,00.html?test=latestnews
Yeah I would be a bit upset if I was the guy who had been shot and this random chick was all over the news like this. I can't belive she needs an Agent.

| This girl seriously is a media whore, she got her hair did and he make up all pretty and used the ACA interview to let eveyrone know she wants to be a singer and if anyone has any work for her, they can contact her Agent.
I don't think ACA really took the interview seriously either, they weren't exactly asking the hard questions and it is all a bit of a joke really.
I do have to agree that the term "wog" isn't really as offensive as it used to be. After the movie Wog Boy, wogs kind of used the term as an endearment rather than a slur.
She's had offers from the nudie mags to do a photo spread so she will probably end up making some $$ from her 15 minutes of fame, but she doesn't make anything off the t-shirts and caps and mugs and all the other shit people are selling with her face and quotes on.
Give it a month and no one will know who she is.

| Wog used to be a racial slur, i believe it was originally geared towards asians: "Westernised Oriental Gentlement". Somehow it changed and became a slur geared towards middle eastern/ eastern europeans. Since the late 80's/ early 90's Wogs have started owning the nickname, since shows like Acropolis Now and the movie Wog Boy (no one but Gabo probably has idea what I am talking about), and it's not as offensive as say the "N-word" but it's kind of calling someone "whitey". | |

| That Westernised Oriental Gentlemen thing I think was made up for racists to feel less racist. I'm not sure one way or the other, but I just mean... it's a weird one. I'd say it was taken from gollywog. | |

| According to the Bible (wikipedia) you are correct Gabo, Westernised Oriental Gentlement is a "backronym". They say it probably came from Golliwog as well. But wouldn't that make it a slur against Blacks? Still doesn't explain how it came to be applied to Eastern Europeans. | |

| Because we already had 'abo' to insult our black people.
I mean, unlike the N word in the US, wog isn't exactly a term you would bleep out on television or whatever. It's not that bad of a word, to be perfectly frank. Yeah, it's racists if there's obvious racism (or stupidity) behind it's use, but I don't really feel bad using the word myself. Mainly because my mum is a bit of a wog.

| Clare Werbeloff may be new presenter on Channel Nine You may not have seen the last of 'chk-chk boom' girl Clare Werbeloff – with claims Channel Nine is considering giving the Sydney teen an ongoing role on A Current Affair. After impressing executives with her “x-factor” during appearances on the show this week, 19-year-old Werbeloff may be cast as the new presenter for a series of pop culture stories, News Ltd reports. The woman known as the “chk-chk-boom girl" demonstrated the explosive power of the internet, by becoming an instant celebrity when her infamous false description of a Sydney shooting was viewed by hundreds of thousands on YouTube. The Northern Beaches teenager signed with agent Adam Abrams soon after the craze took off. She has since been paid thousands of dollars for television appearances – giving radio interviews across the country, and featuring in an upcoming Who magazine this week. But Werbeloff hasn’t had a completely smooth ride – she was forced into a ‘please explain’ after people accused her of being racist. "There were these two wogs fighting. The fatter wog said to the skinnier wog: 'Oi bro, you slept with my cousin.' And the other one said: 'Nah man, I didn't for shit, eh', and the other one goes: 'I will call on my fully sick boys, eh.' And then pulled out a gun and went 'chk-chk-boom'," she said in her false witness account. But Clare insists the word ‘wog’ isn’t offensive to her generation and the whole statement was a joke, telling ACA, “Aussies love to muck around with each other. They love jokes and I just thought Australia would get it." http://livenews.com.au/feature/clare-werbeloff-may-be-new-presenter-on-channel-nine/2009/5/28/208034 | |

| A Current Affair isn't exactly hard hitting journalism, so I guess them having this idiot as a presenter is kind of appropriate, but still, after tricking the entire nation and a good portion of the rest of the world, I just think she's had her 15 minutes and we should let her crawl back in the woodwork with all the other internet idiots. | |
