40 little things

Yes, I'll be old this weekend, so I feel the need to give back to all you youngins ((except for Dave because he's almost as old as me)) some things I have learned over the past 40 years.

1. Never ever use a gas station bathroom :grumpy:
2. Men don't like to ask for directions.
3. Cats consider us slaves not owners.
4. Staying awake all night is fun when you are younger than 25, when you are over, it's called insomnia.
5. Laugh lines are nver funny. :devil:
6. Don't eat yellow snow.
7. Apparently Americans need more fiber, Viagra, and Proactive. That means we are all either constipated, impotent, and pimply.
8. The memory is the first thing to go.

10. People enjoy giving children toys that are loud an obnoxious.
11. A garden is a wonderful thing.
12. Children keep us humble and are more truthful than adults.
13. Reading a favorite book is a great way to spend a day.
14. Don't EVER EVER call Kris cute.
15. Dave can take being teased better than anyone I know.
16. 8 people is the limit for an Xterra.
17. Feral cats are stupid. :loll:
18. Mailmen are cool.
19. Chocolate is an addictive substance.
20. There is almost always a soccer game on TV. :irked:
21. Summer vacations are always too short.
22. San Diego is too damn hot.
23. It's not a trip to the grocery store without my kids fighting in the store.
24. Sleeping in is impossible after you have kids.
25. Mario Kart wii rocks!
26. I still enjoy the music I liked when I was in high school.
27. Frasier re-runs are still the best!
28. Chihuahuas are psychotic
29. Talking to your cat may seem strange, but sometimes, the cat will meow back= yes she does it!
30. You are never too old for good pizza.
31. Cleaning the bathroom is never fun.

I'd only disagree with 37. I think the 4 sweetest words are "here's a beer, bro." But, then, a kid calling me mummy would be really unusual.

Point taken. I'll remember those words for the next INRejects reunion.

Fuscia, I just looked up your birthday and we're only 9 days apart. (Ha ha, you're older.) I'll work on my own list for 40, I guess it's time to take stock huh? (I just don't FEEL old!)

Kris, I don't think Dave could have endured one other person in the truck. I do think that Grant, Karla and I could have put someone small across our laps. Hell, your windows would have been cleaner if we had one there.

Yeah! I couldn't believe all the stuff on my windows. But, I couldn't clean that back one, for a few weeks. I was able to just look at it and laugh.

Dave is physically only a few months younger. Mentally I think he stopped many, many years ago.

Me and Sandy are mailing you a super small el cheapo birthday present, should go out tomorrow. We got less than 5 dollars in the whole deal, including the stamps, so don't get too excited. It's the thought that counts!

You can get a couple of cans of beer for 4 bucks 30 (from the supermarket). I wouldn't sell four bucks thirty short. A thirsty man could do a lot with it.

Thank you all for the birthday wishes. We went out to Pizza Uno with my side of the family. It was a very nice time, and I'm not saying that becuase the waiter was georgous. My older sister and I decided that we are dirty old ladies for drooling over him. He looked very Spanish. *fans self

What's Pizza Uno? Sounds yummy. Though not somewhere you would go for your 40th. More like somewhere you'll be taking Nikki for her next birthday.

It's a piza place that has all types of food served there. They have fish, chicken, pastas. They are known for their deep dish pizzas. Damon and Nikki got to make their own pizzas. They had a blast.

Sounds alright. If I went to a place called "pizza"-something, though, I'd feel obligated to eat the pizza. They're obviously trying to push it over everything else, I'd feel guilty if I didn't get it.

When I was a kid, there was this nice lady who lived on my block. Me and my sister just loved her. Even though she was 72, she really remembered what it was like to be young. Unfortunately, she had this chihuahua that thought it was a rottweiler. Always snarling and biting. Ugh I hate chihuahuas. In my opinion they are just overgrown rats.

I have 12 dogs, and I am scared shitless of chihuahuas. A friend of mine in primary/elementary school had one, and the freaking thing would nip at your ankles when you left the house. Hate it. It's not even a dog, it was more like a rat.

I think we should be allowed to hunt them

I'm in.

We can hunt them, capture them, then use them for skeet shooting.

I personally would use them for gator bait...not that I want a gator, but at least that would give chihuahuas a purpose in life.
