Paul's wife-PJ's mom

Hi. I'm Fara. I posted this under Paul's wife-PJ's mom, because that is basically who I am. From the time I was a little girl, I dreamed of growing up and marrying a man who would love me forever. Well a little over 20 years ago, that dream came true. I also always dreamed of having a couple of perfect kids (you know like on an old time sitcom)... well instead I got a 15 year old smart-ass who has often threatened to put me in a home when I am old (by which he means 41 I think). Still I love him, and would never want to be apart from him... unless I get the money for military school, then it is bye-bye PJ .

I met David (the Whidden) as a junior in high school. My boyfriend lived 141 miles away, and the girl he liked was dating a mutant dwarf who wrestled garbage cans. So we comforted each other, and became the best of friends. Near the end of junior year, this girl joined the journalism class. She was so shy and retiring , that David and I felt it was our civic duty to be nice to her. That was the start of a beautiful friendship.

While our personalities were all very different, (Amy acted all tough and bitchy, I was insecure and kind of shy, and David was... well, David was sweet but twisted.) we all just clicked. We ruled over journalism class senior year. Instead of eating in the cafeteria, we would eat in our class room, this became the place to be. Even the popular kids tried to weasle their way in.

After high school, Amy and I lost touch with David . And while we remained friends, life and stupidity (on my part), took it's toll on our friendship. About a year later, I met and married my husband. 5 years later after some very hard times, I gave birth to my son, with Amy and my husband by my side. It was the most amazing night of my life. That forged a bond between Amy and I that will never die. Unfortunately, we lost touch, not long after that.

A month or so ago, I found David thru myspace. And thru him Amy. And that is why I am here to renew old friendships, and hopefully make new ones.

I'm glad you found me. I was looking for you and Amy from about 1996 on. I pretty much gave up.

Yeah, I'm glad I found you and Amy too. Life just hasn't been the same without ya!

Ain't the internet grand?!! You've got to wonder how people found each other before myspace and facebook were around.

I think they used the phone book and lots of trial and error, Called a bunch of wrong people, etc.

Welcome Fara! I'm Sherry aka fuscia. My husband Ron is Mr. F. We've been together for almost 18 years, married for 12 with two great kids. Our son Damon is turning 9 this week, and Nikki is going to be 7 next month. My dream was also to meet someone who would love me forever and have two great kids. Damon is becoming a bit of a smart ass, but it is totally genetic.

My role on the board is to pick on Dave, but it's done with love. He's a great guy.

Yeah, PJ comes by his smart mouth honestly, too. From his father's side. His mother, of course, doesn't have a smart mouth. (David, Amy quit laughing!!)

Yeah, enjoy these preteen years, you will be missing the still human person he is way too soon. I keep reminding Paul that we only have 4 1/2 years of his being a teenager. Hopefully, at 20, the kid who thinks we are "THE LAMEST PEOPLE ALIVE", will just disappear.

Awww.... I thought it was everone's role to pick on David. I mean there is so much material to work with, that it's a multi-person job . Otherwise, why did I join the forum?
