Facebook vs Myspace

I have both, but facebook has just exploded here and I can't grasp it. There's so many features and I keep getting invited into these wierd extra applications and getting poked a lot.
I think Myspace is good for it's simplicity but now it's like it's trying to become more like facebook. It's cool though that I can see my friends and family overseas and stuff on there and keep up to date with what they're doing coz I am so bad at remembering to email and keep intouch, but a quick message on facebook and you keep in touch.

Are you guys on these things?

I have both actually. Just remade my MySpace. Facebook for me is really to mess around with my friends will all the applications. MySpace is much more practical and simplistic like you said. But I do like how you can make your MySpace all pretty and stuff. i have fun with that

I have a myspace, but only so I could look at other people's myspaces.

Facebook pisses me off, but I have that too.

Some people are on it 24/7... i don't understand that.

I got myspace, but you know, after you get it setup, not much to it. Just check it now and again.

The internet forum board is about the perfect invention for my needs, you show up, post some, leave, repeat.

Myspace, you got to tag the other person, hope they tag back, you have a convo, it's cool, but you check your page weeks later, and you got one part of the conversation.


A forum board is more linear, and more suited to old fellers like myself.

I have both, and I still go onto facebook from time to time because some of my family are on it fairly often. It's kind of interesting, but nothing spectacular. People are a little too obsessed with it.

i go on face book every once in a while when someone pokes me or something. and then i throw shit at poke and poke them wih things. then i leave

some with myspace i might go on there for a few days after i get a message or invite but then i drop it for a while

I have to agree with the other oldtime, Whizzle, at least I think that was his name. They say the memory is the first thing to ??? something.

Myspace is a place I go to every two months or so. Boards are more my style, and I don't have the time for facebook.

I signed up with Facebook, and they want to charge you a buck to send a gift, which is just a little picture of a gift, not even a real gift.

I tell ya what, I went there today and signed up, when I got back, I wasn't subscribed to any of my threads here anymore. Wasn't getting email on them.

I thought it was a glitch, I just spent about half an hour trying to click the watch topic deal, well I just went back to facebook, came back here and it's all screwed up again. Not subscribed to anything.

You look like a tough guy, so it works. You shoulda been holding a gun though.

I was like 29 in that pic, I still had my 80's glasses. The gun was in the back of my pants, Magnum P.I. style.

I used to keep mine in the sock, but it fell out while I was volunteering at the homeless shelter. Some hobo used it in a mugging. The kid of the couple he mugged ended up wearing a bat suit and jumping around saving people from criminals.


Okay none of that happened. Except the bat suit guy.

I quit the gun, cause I found I could do more damage with my bare hands. I put a lot of folks out of their misery with my titanium knuckles.

I was way to tough for brass knuckles, they would just break in my hands when I punched people. So I made some from titanium.

The wieght issue there, having the gun and the titanium knuckles, well it got a little much to carry, kind of like George's wallet, man had all those reciepts in there, put an ad for free guitar lessons in there, exploded his wallet, I didn't want something like that, so I quit the gun.

Carrying one that is. I still pack heat at the house, keep a few howlitzers around, couple of 50 calibers, 30 ott 6, some pistols, a few NRA stickers and a hand loaded black powder 1753 musket that was used to kill several British.

I have a myspace page but no one hardly visits. I have one person from this board as a friend. I think no one visits because my blogs are completely stupid.

Hey, I was checking Dekka's Facebook, and dude looks cool in his pics. I aint gay or nothing, you know that, but guys in a suit, looks like a man, all cool and stuff.


I had this image of the teenage Dekka, mainly that one drunken pic of him from years and years ago.


Guy is way cooler than me, I'm a little pissed off right now.

I always imagined Dekka with dreads and a joint in his hand.

What is deal with the "Are you interested" application on facebook, it appears to be some random "Would you hit that" thing and some persons photo pops up and you say yes or no. Is it just me or is that kind of degrading, pity the person who gets constant no's.

I got a yes! Woo! By some random guy though .... wierd.
