I've got to say, this episode is a return to form. There was barely any love story to be heard, and the reappearance of Karen made for some serious awkwardness for Jim. Some very funny jokes throughout. Dwight's eagerness to blow up the other branch was hilarious, and Jim trying to keep them straight... nice stuff. And Oscar saying the Finer Things Club is the gayest thing about him (except for having sex with me) was very funny.

Good quotes this week:
"The eyes are the groin of the head."
"I think I cut my penis on it!"

I think this is the second episode directed by Joss Whedon.

You had sex with Oscar? You crazy.

Was a funny episode though. Seemed a little over the top for me though.

Michael laying on the floor in his office having Pam write a want ad was funny.

I forgot how hot Rashida Jones was. As cute as the chick who plays Pam is, I'll take Rashida Jones any day of the week and twice on my face. afro

Oh man, me and Oscar go way back. And yes, the word "back" was supposed to be a pun.

Hehehe that's too funny.

Comedy.

That Tobey guy is only in that little club because he wants to tap Pam. The hats make it pretty gay indeed.

When the big dude, Kevin, was banging on the vending machine it reminded me of a very fond office moment of my own. It was about 5 years ago or so, late in the afternoon, I venture out of my cubicle to get over the post-lunch hump by snacking from the vending machine. I walk over and there is a hole in the plastic the size of a big fist. My first instinct was to reach in and snake something. But I met the vending machine owner guy, convinced him to stock sunflower seeds so we were tight like that.

So for the rest of the day we're trying to figure out who punched a hole in the vending machine.

Now this vending machine was notorious for taking your money, hanging your snack on the spiral deal and not dropping it. Fucking thing was frustrating. You only had a good 65% chance of getting your snack.

Keeping in mind that everyone has been ripped off by the machine I started to think about who would be so angry as to punch the machine hard enough to break it.

I was walking around the office, looking at the usual suspects. I immediately ruled the women out. I'm wasn't trying to be sexist, just going by odds. The hole was near the top of the machine making the snack attacker at least 6 foot tall with enough power to break it in the first place. I then started to think about who visited the machine a lot. That's when I stopped by this one dudes office. There he was, all 6 foot something, tipping the scales at 350 pounds if he weighed as much as a Snickers bar.

Indeed it was him, I forget his name. I just call him the snack attacker. If I would have said that to begin with it would have ruined the story. Not that it was a good story to begin with. Just saying.

I remember laughing at the time. Seriously, of all the people to become so enraged over a hanging candy bar, was the biggest dude in the building. He had to pay for a new deal for the machine. Only $100 I think. Still, that's one expensive candy bar.

You know, the bit with Tobey in the club was what was good about this episode. I mean, we all know why he's there, but they never mentioned it. They barely even hinted at it, but there he was. He wasn't gay, wasn't a woman, but there he was. Freakin' hilarious.

I resist buying things from vending machines. I don't trust them. It's like food, teasing you behind a glass window. Who does that snickers thing she's fooling? She wants to be eaten just as much as I want to eat her, so what's the problem? Asking us to pay for it before she'll go down is just prostitution of candy, if you ask me.
