There was a post about this movie at the other forum, but this one is special.... 'cause I've actually seen the movie now.

Man it was sweet. Good stuff, totally chilling.

I honestly thought it was a kid's movie though! I'd only seen a short preview on the TVs at the train station here, and plus the posters (which totally makes it look like a kid's movie) so I had a different idea of what the movie would be. Man, was I ever blown away!

It's hard to explain why you like it, though, isn't it? It's simply a beautiful movie. Visually interesting, and the story is just captivating. All the mythical/fantasy aspects of the story seem to just appear and disappear without reason and explanation, but they meld in so well. I don't know what it is at all, to be honest... but WOW!

Yeah, the movie's subtitled. I don't know if they have an English audio track for it, but it sounded fine in spanish anyway.

Don't let Alyssa watch it, whatever you do.

I don't think they have an English version. I saw it in the theater it was subtitled.

I don't like dubbed movies anyways. They always feel different.

I don't mind subtitles at all. I often put English subtitles on movies that are already in English. That's just how I roll son!

I always got Chinese subtitles on, 'cause that's how I roll. With all kinds of... like... Chinese words... and.... like...characters and stuff... you know what? Shut up.

Apparently the director of the movie wrote the English subtitles himself because his old films were all messed up by crap translations.

Is it really considered a horror movie though? Besides the freaky guy with eyes on his hands, were there other scary parts I'm not remembering? Although if that oldie freak came to me as a child, i'd be in a mental institution.

I really enjoyed this movie. It was very artistically pleasing, and for me I found that I didn't have to look at most of the sub-titles. It brought back memories of speaking Spanish with my dad. Good times, good times.

Pretty good point, but I didn't know where to put it. The worst parts were probably the dude getting his nose beaten in, and that weird monster thingy eating the pixies. Other than that...

Still... pretty freaky.

The bad thing is, if I had kids, I totally would have taken them to go see this when it was at the cinemas. I thought it was a kid's movie until I actually watched it.
