MUNCIE, Ind. (March 20) - An eighth-grader faces expulsion after admitting he put urine in a teacher's coffee pot, officials said. The Wilson Middle School teacher noticed that the coffee had an unusual odor Friday and reported it to the principal, Muncie Community Schools officials said. A student who overheard classmates discussing it also reported the incident to officials.

Urine was found in the locker of the eighth-grade boy, who admitted to putting some in the coffee, authorities said.

The eighth-grader has been suspended pending a recommendation for expulsion, said Assistant Superintendent Steve Edwards.

"This type of student behavior will not be tolerated," Wilson principal DiLynn Phelps and Superintendent Marlin B. Creasy wrote in a letter to parents. "No student will be permitted to deliberately attempt to cause bodily harm to any other student, teacher or staff member."

You know what... I would do the same, Illuminate. My kid would find out that if they did that to someone, they wouldn't like their punishment. "No, you're drinking your artwork... " And man, their ass would be so f'n red when I got done with them. Child Protective Services would give me an award for it!!!

Well, that's the difference between us, Heck. Some encourage disgusting behavior in their children... where as other parents discipline for such acts, and work to discourage deviant behavior in the future.

Damn the system. How dare those teachers try and educate kids. That's why they get pee coffee. I would make my kids pee on their teachers daily.

This kid was what 13/14 years old? His brain isn't fully functional at that age. He may have thought it was a funny prank not intending to seriously harm the teacher. Yes it was wrong and a stupid mistake. (Kids do make them...). I think he needs to learn a life lesson from this. Expulsion is too serious at this age...maybe an apology and some kind of behaviour therapy and a good punishment from his parents.

I've heard of disgruntled employees doing all kinds of stupid things including the old pee in the coffee pot too. That's a different story because they should know better as adults.

The fact that he told someone he did it indicates he was pulling a wicked prank on the teacher. If he was so bad and evil, he wouldn't have said anything. He could have just let the teacher drink it and gloat inside.

They wouldn't have found out if he was devious enough to hide the evidence.

I feel sorry for the kid. Maybe the teacher wronged him in someway. Maybe he's just an immature malicious kid.

But 13/14 is 8th/9th grade. Don't kids know better by then? If they don't know that doing something bad to their teachers like this is wrong at this age, then maybe the parents aren't doing a great job or, this kid DOES need behavioural therapy. My cousin's step kid is immature like this and he's older. But we all strongly believe he pulls stupid things like this off because they let the kids get away with everything. "ohh you did what? stay in your room - with your play station 3, big screen tv, oh by the way, HAPPY BIRTHDAY HERE'S A BRAND NEW CAR..." its disgusting.

I don't know if expulsion is the best choice either. But I also don't agree with suspension. I don't think that works. All it is is a mini vacation for kids. Just gives them enough time to plan their next retarded move. It goes hand in hand with "time outs"

I think time outs might work up until a certain age maybe. Like when losing play time is a huge sacrifice. But it gets to a point where it doesn't work.

I also never agreed with "go to your room with no dinner." I mean, starve the kid? that's just mean.
