Who is the father of Anna Nicole's baby girl?

(CBS) Just when you thought it could not get any more bizarre, there is another twist in the Anna Nicole Smith story: a New York tabloid is reporting the possibility that Smith used frozen sperm of her late millionaire husband, J. Howard Marshall, to become pregnant.

In a story carrying the headline "Ice Pop Shock," the New York Daily News reports it has exclusively obtained a book manuscript written by Smith's half-sister, Donna Hogan. In "Train Wreck," Hogan claims Smith had "hinted to the family" that the father of her baby girl, Dannielynn Hope Marshall Stern, might be Marshall, according to the Daily News.

The newspaper also reports that Hogan speculated that it could be "her trump card in her fight to get the old man's estate."

Howard K. Stern, Smith's companion at the time of her death, is named on Dannielynn's birth certificate as the baby's father. But others who have claimed possible paternity are ex-boyfriend Larry Birkhead, 34, and Zsa Zsa Gabor's husband, Prince Frederic von Anhalt, 59, who claimed he had a 10-year secret affair with Smith.

A judge on Friday refused to order an emergency DNA test on Smith's body as part of a paternity suit involving her infant daughter, but he ordered that the body be preserved until a hearing in 10 days, attorneys said.

Investigators in Florida disclosed that they found prescription medicines but no illegal drugs in Smith's hotel room, and said more tests will be necessary to determine the cause of her death.

The autopsy found no pills in her stomach, but officials were awaiting the results of toxicological tests that would indicate whether she had taken drugs, said Dr. Joshua Perper, the Broward County medical examiner.

Dang! If she did use her late husband sperm (if he had any...that is) that little baby girl is going to be a rich but sad girl. There are a few shocking rumors including Anna's son as the father/ lawyer Stern assisting in the death of both Anna & her son. This is one sordid tragedy indeed!

Well, he was present for both deaths... and it makes one wonder about that!!! I wouldn't put it past the guy, because of the money he would stand to gain.

And IF Anna's SON was the father of her little girl... that would be one sick fucking secret, come to light. BLECK!!

Ewww now that is too gross! She was unnaturally close to the son, but dang! Bleck, ick, ewwww.

I feel bad for Anna's mom. She is in the Bahamas because she wants to see the baby. She's scared that something might happen to the baby, and Anna's people won't even tell her where the baby is.

Well, who knows what the mom does, and doesn't know.
Maybe she does know... but to protect the baby, she's keeping mum about it all... as she should.

The MOST important thing in ANYONES mind front should be the child. Her health, and safety, should be what people who love her, and are caring for her, are seeking.

Anna had cut her mom out of her life when Daniel was about 6. She got all pissed that her mom, who had been raising him, cut his hair when he was with her. The mom was so used to caring for him that she didn't think it would upset Anna.

What really freaked me out was that when Daniel died her mom was on TV and she said in a message to Anna "Vicki Lynn you have to be careful who you hang around because you could be next." Scary stuff. Her mom's ex-law enforcement. SHe said when Anna was young and was in the strip clubs stripping she found out and went in and told the owner that he had to fire her daughter or she would show up every night until he did. I think she was estranged from Anna because Anna didn't like her mom being close to Daniel and she didn't like her mom telling her not to do drugs.

Well, at least she had a mom that did care for her!!!

What a dumb ass, stupid blonde tramp... to stop having anything to do with your mother, because she cut your sons hair.

Either she was just some real petty person... or she made up an excuse to use.

RIGHT! When rich people start giving to the needy... then they are generous. What was Anna doing with her money? She wasn't helping out society... unless it was something that would make her come out better in the end.


Rosie O'Donnell said something, last week. She was on "Inside the Actor's Studio." She was asked about her money, and she made a comment about how you're truly only rich when you give it away... and see others profit from it. Sure, she doesn't give it all away... but, she puts out a lot of money. That made such sense.

People like Oprah... who built homes for people who lost EVERYTHING in New Orleans, after Katrina. People like Angelina Jolie, and Brad Pitt... who try to make a difference in third world countries. Bono, from U2, who is trying to help out AIDS victims in Africa.

THOSE are the kind of people who are generous. They might have a lot.. but they give a lot away. They try to help others... and they DO make a difference.

What difference did Anna make? Did she help some men get the dicks off, because of dancing on a poll? Did she shake her big tits in someone's face? Did she screw a bunch of different men?

WHOOPIE!!! She wasn't what I would ever call a generous, and giving, woman.

Her sister had cancer and Anna didn't help. Her mom said they could have used the money for someone to watch the kids while she was going through chemo, but Anna didn't do anything! That's cold.

That's because Anna didn't care about anything but Anna.

I can't believe that she didn't help! That's so messed up!

If I had that kind of money, there is nothing that I wouldn't do for my family, and loved ones. Of course, even though I don't have money, there is still nothing that I wouldn't do. I might not be able to give in that way... but I can give of my time, and my love. She never did that.

I'm not real sure her mom did care for her. She has been all over cable news this week ragging on her. Her eyes are cold, as is her voice. It's like she don't give a **** her kid died.


I'm sure what she was saying was true, that Ana was selfish and didn't give them any money, and yada yada, Ana was a turd, whatever, but her own mother going all over t.v. and ragging on her made me see their estrangment was not all Ana's fault.

If anyone should take up for you, it should be your own family. At this point, I think she just wants the grandchild the same reason all these nuts and weirdos want the kid, for the money...

I think, at this point, her mother just wants to find her grandchild, and be able to KNOW that she is okay. To be denied that, is wrong.

If my mom was denied Caleb, and Addy... she would be a woman to stay out of her way.

She was crying on 20/20 a bit. I think she is stoic, but I also think that she is just at the stage where you can't cry. It happens where you are so numb that you can't cry. Her grandson died, her daughter is dead, and her worst fears are realized. She died most likely from drugs, something the family knew in their hearts would happen.

Especially when the mother made a comment after Daniel died, that she needed to be careful. Sounds like her mother (and possibly the rest of the family) just had a bad feeling that something was going to happen.

Anna was so drugged up the last week of her life... and it was evident. I'm sure that she's truly sad that her daughters life has ended, with no resolve between them.

Hell, NO parent, no matter what, should EVER outlive their own child.

I don't know, I'm not her judge, and I havn't seen more than 10 minutes of her, but the ten minutes worth I seen, she was going on and on about what a worthless piece of **** Ana was.

Sure Ana was a worthless pile of garbage, as far as human beings go, but her own mother ragging on her....just rubbed me the wrong way.

I didn't see her ragging on her, except to say that her daughter chose to live the life that she did, and that she disagreed with it... and that she knew that her daughter was on drugs.

I heard a theroy on the radio that she commited suscide because she didn't want it to come outthat it was her sons baby.

That's sickening... and I guess I can't totally discount it or whatever, but it doesn't sound likely. I hope that baby grows up to be happy and healthy... doesn't seem to be getting off to a good start.
