Joe Hill - Heart Shaped Box

Apparently not a book about Courtney Love's vagina. The title of the book probably has nothing to do with the Nirvana song. I think.

I haven't read but the first page and the blurb, but I've read good things about it. Joe Hill is Stephen King's son, so I stuck it here. He looks like Stephen King too, which is scary. Poor bugger.

The books about an aging rock musician who has a collection of all kinds of macabre things... then he gets some dead dude's suit and is haunted. I dunno, sounds simple enough but we'll see. It looks like it'll be an easy read if I get around to it.

Okay, so the book is more than likely an homage to the Nirvana song. He's mentioned Nirvana in the book, so I would assume that Joe Hill's a fan.

So far the book is alright. I thought it was going to be your every day run of the mill ghost story (ooh I saw something! Ah! That door closed by itself! OMG why are the dogs barking!?), but thankfully it's not that stupid. About half-way through now, and I would say 'not bad but not great' at this point. We'll see how it goes.

Does he wear the haunted suit?

I had a haunted suit, I wouldn't wear it.

He doesn't wear it. Then again, as long as they didn't die in it, I probably could wear a dead man's suit. Particularly if I didn't like the person.

Imagine if he used his birth name. Joe King. I don't know how you could take anything he said seriously.

I'd say "Pleased to meet you, I'm Joe Sixpack".
