The Opening Ceremony was pretty good, I think as with every Opening Ceremony though, each segment goes for too long. They are all interesting concepts and tell little stories or whatever, but they just drag it out too long. The thing with the "Mountain" in the middle and the skiers and snowboarders came down was very cool, as was the bit with the boy flyng through the sky, but it just dragged on too long. KD Lang was great. The flame cauldron thing was very cool.

Australia doesn't have much going on this time around, I don't think we've really got many medal contenders, but I guess we could have another Stephen Bradbury on our hands (The guy who won his heat, semi final and gold medal because everyone else he was racing fell over). We have a cute 15 year old in one of the ski disciplines, she seems nice, but don't know if she's a shot for a medal.

The only events I am really interested to watch will be the ice hockey & the figure skating, but I have had the other events on in the background while I am doing the housework and when there's nothing else on TV.
