| I don't know if I'm allowed to post outside links on this board. I know that some boards don't allow them because of spamming and whatnot. But I'm going to take a chance and post a link to my wordpress anyway. No one really reads it because I've never given anyone a link to it. There's just so much in it that I thought it would be somewhat easier to post a link to it rather than taking the time to retype everything. What I need to vent about is...complicated, but maybe someone could read it and give me some advice? There's just so many things that I am tired of, I don't really know where to start I'm really trying to be in a good and festive mood because of the Holidays but it's just not very easy this year. Every year I'm asked about what I want for Christmas or for my birthday but what I really want doesn't seem to be anything that anyone can actually give to me. And it doesn't seem to be something that anyone is willing to give me either. My mother was complaining yesterday about how she's tired of being disappointed but she acts like she's the only one that this ever happens to. She likes to tell people that that's just how life is, it's full of disappointments. But I get tired of them too http://sinnomine.wordpress.com/ | |

| Brought back lots of memories about the last year at my dads. As a matter of fact. it sounds like the last the last year before leaving the nest of pretty much everybody I know. Money is independence. You need to get serious about getting a job, any job. Tell your parents its about you needing to find your own place in the world . The salary isnt important at first, getting out of the house is. A part time gig that gets you out when they are home is a great start. Even if you have to go public transpportation, it will be worth it | |

| Pulse, is your first name Sin? If so, that's a cool name. Do you got any money at all? If so, take a drivers ed course. I think you can take one at a local community college. If so, they might be able to help with the cost of the class if it's too much. Reality is, once you do get a job, you might hate it, but at least it will be 8 hours of turmoil a day, then you can chill out at your new apartment the other 16 hours a day and be your own person. Your parents will treat you better after you move out, ask anyone. They still treat you like a punk sometimes, but that's how parents are, but they wise up some and are happy to see you. What kind of city you live in? Can you skip the car thing and walk to work, or ride a bike? | |

| Ok, so there is NO public transportation where I live and I live in the trees, so walking is...ridiculous. I do have a bicycle though But the tires are very flat and I don't think it has breaks any more, plus I don't know the hand signals for having it on the paved road :-s Here's the thing, I don't have anyone who is willing to actually help me get a driver's license. My mother keeps telling me that I don't need their help, I can get a license by myself. I can't. It's illegal for me to be driving without a 21 year old licensed driver in the car with me. They aren't letting me drive anywhere. Dad goes to town nearly every weekend for one reason or another and it's the same thing every time, "I'll be back in a little while." I've gone with him before hoping that he would let me drive, no. He doesn't. And my mother has an excuse for every occasion in the book and then some. She's been barking at me about driver's ed but I was just reading about what Driver's ed consists of and honestly, I don't need that. I don't need to be sitting in a stupid classroom and listening to someone lecture me on road signs. I need to be DRIVING and no one is letting me. I don't know what to do. There aren't any driving schools (where driving instructors actually give driving time by the hour) in my area. And the one that I found (which is about two hours away) costs hundreds of dollars. It's like $200 or $300 for two hours. Yeah, I have SOME money saved up but eventually it's going to run out because I'm not able to replace what I spend. I really don't want to dive into what little I have in my savings account because I need to save some up. I don't want to have to start completely over with that when I'm like...30 :-s My brother is always working. My sister-in-law has three screaming kids that she drags all over the place with her and I can't drive with that kind of distraction. I have one friend that I have already contacted in the hopes of being able to persuade them into helping me to get my driver's license but he lives two hours away, just lost his job, had to move back in with his parents, is currently unable to find another job and has the government threatening to cease everything that he owns including whatever he has in his bank account because of his taxes being screwed up a couple of years ago :-s So, there goes that idea and I am officially back to not knowing what to do. Sin Nomine is latin for "Without name", by the way. | |
