Tim Burton's version looks less dark than the original which is kind of odd as Tim Burton usually makes things darker, not the other way around. I can only assume it has something to do with it being more family friendly than the original short film.

So this should be out this week, but I haven't seen much promotional stuff for it. I saw one news article on Google and that's about it. I am still looking forward to seeing it.

I did watch some of this. It kind of dragged a bit for my tastes, but I'll give it a proper go later. It seemed like it could have gotten better.

I have to agree G, it did drag a bit. The first half seemed a bit disjointed, like it had been more detailed and they had heavily edited it and you were missing bits. The storyline itself didn't make a lot of sense. It was OK to watch, a lot of detail in the surroundings and stuff, but compared to the short film, it did feel kind of dumbed-down.
