Great start to the year then We had a bbq at our house, and I got tanked. I vaguely remember the countdown to New Year and I think I made it to about 1am before I fell asleep. So far 2009 has been a good year. Happy New Year everyone! | |

| I was laying in bed, curled up with my cat, at midnight. When all the fireworks started, I just held her tight, and reassured her that it was okay. That was my welcome to 2009. | |

| My new year was pretty good we went to the street party, then we did a bit of firstfooting and ended up at some guys house singing Sinatra songs at 6.00am which seemed a perfectly normal thing to do at the time. | |

| We all stayed up, it's tradition in my family to allow the kids to stay up that late on New Years. We played the game of Life, had dessert, then watched Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy. | |

| Oh you wont have heard of that will you, firstfooting is a Scottish tradition of being the first person to enter someones house after new year the idea being that this person will bring good luck with them. | |
