| Based on the short story by F. Scott Fitzgerald, the movie follows the story of Benjamin Button, a man who lives his life from old age to infancy. Don't know much else about what the movie will include, but it stars Brad Pitt & Cate Blanchet and was scribed by Eric Roth. I'm expecting it to be great. you can read the original short story here | |

| You know, the more I think of it, I don't think this case is too curious. It's more like 'The Complete Genetic Impossibility of Benjamin Button'. You can substitute 'impossibility' for 'abomination'. I get the feeling this flick is going to be a little up its own ass on the dramatic front. Like the actors are floating around this huge romantic plot so everything they say is like the final words of the movie. But, I could be wrong. -HECK! | |

| They obviously have to make it quirky for it to work, but from what I've been reading... Benjamin Button doesn't come out as a full grown 70 year old, he's born as a baby who has simply aged 70 years. May just be me, but that kind of sucks half of the fun out of the story. Of course giving a birth to a 5-foot-something old man would be extremely painful... but that's half the fun of the first chapter. It makes you go 'Wha?' | |

| Read that too. In the original story though he was born full size. And he breathed fire. One of those facts is false. -HECK! | |

| I still haven't gone to see this! It's almost 3 hours long, and I heard that it wasn't as good as they blew it up to be. Grant, I shall await your report, bro. | |

| I started it, but stopped watching it for Slumdog Millionaire.
Seriously, it's... I don't know how to say it exactly. Some of it's fascinating. When he's 7 years old and an old man in a wheel chair, and then on crutches... the images and the man himself are breathtaking.
BUT... The framing device of the movie is slow and incredibly boring. Also, the movie isn't quirky in the sense I thought it would be. Actually, it's barely quirky at all (from what I've seen so far). They're trying to ground it in reality and build up emotion, but the story is so outlandish that it needs to be a little ... for lack of a better word, silly.
I'll watch the whole thing before I really make up my mind. The bits about Benjamin Button himself are great.

| I think it's a bit creepy that he has sex with a woman that was a little girl when he was an old man. I told Jamie this and he said yeah but anyone his age when he's younger would be little when he was old, which is true, but he didn't see them grow up. I don't know, it's weird to me. Now i'm not sure if h does have sex with her or if it's even the same girl but they all have red hair in the trailor and it looks like they are getting ready to do it so I'm going from assumption. | |

| I saw the part where he meets the little girl and it was a bit 'uh, is he having a 'moment'?
I mean, they were both technically 7 or 8, but he was an old man gawking at this little girl. There's something very wrong with that.
Them boning when they meet (age-wise) in the middle, I think, is fine.

| But you're thinking of it ... like they're only the same age for half an hour out of the movie... but they'd have been approximately the same age for about 10 years or so (if this was real). They'd be concentrating on that time, and their appearance at that period of their life... he wouldn't ALWAYS be thinking of her as a little girl. | |

| It said it was a curious CASE of Benjamin Button... not cases.
But even then, a case of buttons you'd expect there to be at least a few.
Come to think of it, button should be a plural in the title. Curiouser and curiouser.
