I generally keep my recipes to myself since they are the BOMB!! Everyone always asks me for my cookie recipes...but they aren't special if everyone and their Mom can make 'em too!

Everyone and their mother seems to have a recipe for Chocolate No-Bake Cookies, but I really like this recipe from my grandma. I think it would be a shame if a good recipe went out of knowledge because it wasn't shared, so I've never been one to hold on to old family recipes. I'll post some more yummy recipes when I can.

Melt a cube of butter on medium heat. Add 2 cups of sugar, 1/2 cup baking cocoa, and 1/2 cup of milk.

Adjust heat to high until mixture reaches a rolling boil. Remove from heat.

Add 1/2 cup of creamy peanut butter, 3 cups of Quick oats (Old-Fashioned oats won't set right), 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt.

Quickly drop by the spoonful onto wax paper. Let cool until the tops of the cookies are no longer shiny. Eat and enjoy!

This recipe makes a few dozen cookies, depending on how large you want to make them.

Alright, I promised Durinda that I'd get this recipe on here. I got it from The Food Network or something like that.

Crockpot Lemon Chicken

Chop up an onion and about four garlic cloves. Put these in the bottom of the crockpot.

Melt two tablespoons of butter in a frying pan. In a bowl, mix two cups of flour, one teaspoon of salt and 1/4 teaspoon of pepper. Cut eight boneless, skinless chicken tenders into small chunks, maybe one-inch cubes. Coat the chicken in the flour mixture, then brown the chicken in the frying pan for 2-3 minutes. Put chicken in the crockpot (along with the rest of the flour, if you want. I like to put that in there).

In a frying pan, mix the juice of one lemon, two tablespoons of brown sugar, one cup of chicken broth, 1/4 cup water, and one teaspoon of oregano. Bring mixture to a boil, then pour over the chicken.

Cook on low for 7-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours.

I like to mix the finished product with rice.
