Surf's Up is a computer-animated film produced by Sony Pictures Animation, scheduled to be released on June 8, 2007 by Columbia Pictures. It will be directed by Ash Brannon (the co-director of Toy Story 2) and Chris Buck.
A mockumentary, the film explores the premise that surfing was actually invented by penguins, and takes viewers behind the scenes of the "Penguin World Surfing Championship".
It will feature the voices of Shia LaBeouf, Jeff Bridges, Zooey Deschanel, Brian Benben, Mario Cantone, Jon Heder, Jane Krakowski, Rebecca Honig, Michael McKean and James Woods.
