| This two hour movie (including commercials) will air on November 23rd (with a special extended edition DVD being set for release 2 days later). It supposedly acts as a bridge between season 6 and 7.
The plot revolves around Jack Bauer going to South Africa to seek peace (why in the hell he thought South Africa would be peaceful is beyond me) and gets caught up in some sort of military activity. As Jack is wont to do, I s'pose.
Meanwhile, the new US president is being voted into office, Allison Taylor. Sometime during the movie, Jack will receive a subpoena to appear before the Senate.

| It's called 24: Redemption now (used to be 24: Exile). A month and 3 days until this airs. I think it's a month and 5 days until the DVD is released. | |

| I am sadly not excited about the new season of 24. I wish I was. It has just gone down hill from season 3 or 4 for me. I used to say "Jack's Back" or "You don't know Jack" with just antisipation. | |

| It's been close to two years since the last season, so the anticipation has fizzled, that's true. And the last season wasn't a nything to write home about... but I'm sure they'll do better this time around. I HOPE they do at least. | |

| I caught it tonight. Not bad. Good to see the Jack Bauer Power (2) Hour back in effect. It was just a prequel/trailer for the upcoming season. So-so story, mild drama, kind of rushed. Introduces some major players and intergral plot lines that will no doubt be expanded on. Again, just glad to see Jack again. I would give it a B-. Totally watch it. The only drawback: at the end, you have to wait until January for more. -HECK! | |

| Sounds mad enough for my tastes. A "B-" 24 plot is like an "A-" anything else, I reckon.
Will watch it tonight if it can download fast enough.

| I see Noah Daniels is still a jackass. I'm wondering is his party Republican or Democrat. By which I mean, obviously his party would have to be the same as Palmer's (the younger one). So this new lady has to be in the opposing party. While the two Palmer's could be in different parties, it's doubtful. And they both strike me as Democrats (I don't know if it was ever mentioned specifically, but in the first season they may have said that it was set on "the day of the democratic presidential primaries").
Regardless, I have a feeling that the new president's a Republican.

| DVD just came out, I think. An extended cut.
It's not bad. It isn't 24 as you know it, but it's good.
And what was with Gil Bellows' haircut? Geez...

| Hehehe that dude was so forced. Trying to make a point on how impotent, pointless, weenie-like the UN is. They wrote that guy as the biggest pussy in the world. I thought he was going to be in on it, to be honest... they way he was in such denial over it, it just seemed like slight-of-hand trickery by the enemy. Turns out, nope, the UN peace keepers are just weiners. | |

| I love how they always showed him in that poofy baby-blue head gear too. As if to remind us all, he's going to puss out when the going gets tough.
Nothing ever came of that story line with the new president's son, did it? I remember the friend died, the president's son got worried... but I don't think they really did anything after that.

| Oh right, they did discuss how much he knew. They decided against it because he 'doesn't have proof'
So they must have filmed this after filming quite a lot of the seventh season. They did make it work, I have to admit. You could see the end coming a mile away. Ally McBeal's child-hood boyfriend is such an asshole with such lame side burns.

| The plot was a little silly. Let's waste 15 trained adult soilders to get 15 kids who it will take months to train, to take part in a coup that is happening as we speak. The coup is right now in fact... but it was worth it to get to see Jack take a hot machete to the ear, then pretend to weener out. Then choke homer with the old leg stunt. Will these evil bad guys never learn? | |

| Oh yes, the story was down right ridiculous in places. But once the action got going it was pretty cool. I doubt anyone could fault the movie's action scenes, regardless of whether Jack has automatic weapons fired on him from a relatively short distance and still manages to find cover before catching a single bullet or not. But then, that's kind of a 24 staple now, isn't it?
I'm all hyped up for the new season. How did the show go in the ratings? If it goes well, they say there'll be a movie.

| Yeah, it has to be. In the trailer it had Jack standing trial.
Then perhaps Tony shows up doing back shit and someone will say "Jack, you know Tony better than anyone... the President's willing to give you a full pardon - another full pardon - if you're able to stop him."
I swear it'll be written just like that in the script.

| What's Tony's good looking wife's name? Ah! Gotcha...
Tony has to be doing some bad ass shit. But he knows CTU protocols, so you just know he'll be one step ahead of them.
You watch, there'll also be a line where Jack says "no, Tony knows CTU protocols. He'll be one step ahead of us."

| I downloaded the DVD version of this and started to watch it last night. Didn't see anything new, but it did look crystal-clear compared to the TV version I had.
The DVD version is about 1:40 long, so there has to be about 10 to 15 minutes of extra footage. I guess it'll have to be around the ad-breaks, as the rest of the show is in real time, right? Can't add stuff in wherever they like.
