Is it me ,or were there more commercials than football? The announcers mentioned the name Tom Petty so many times in the first half, I thought one of the players shared the moniker with the aging pop singer.

I didn't see but a few mins of the game. But I did the score was 7-3. Then in the 4th giants scored.

What was the ending score. Very low scoring game. Close, I bet it was good. Hate I didn't get to se it but then again, I don't care for either team so meah.

17-14 was the final. The fact that nobody had more than a 4 point lead added a bunch to the entertainment value

I wanted the Pats to win, because Junior Seau (former SD Charger) is on the team. That man DESERVES a Super Bowl ring. And, I'm NOT a fan of Eli Manning. Rat bastard refused to play for us... a f'n rookie, high and mighty.

I don't like football but even I wanted the Patriots to lose. Just to shut them up, damn rat bastard cheaters.

If there is anyone that you could say deserved a Super Bowl ring, it's Dan Marino. However, I don't think anyone really deserves it. The ring is earned. Just because Seau doesn't have the good sense to retire his old ass doesn't mean he's entitled to anything.

Eli Manning might have gave the finger to the Chargers, but I don't blame him.

First, take a look back at NFL history. Let me tell you about this Stanford quarterback who was drafted by the Baltimore Colts back in 1983. This rookie didn't want to play for the Colts. He told them to either trade him or he'll play Major League Baseball instead. The Colts agreed, trading him to the Denver Broncos. That cocky kid was John Elway. Hall Of Famer John Elway. Anyone shitting on him? Nope.

Second, Eli's father, Archie, spent neary his entire career on a very bad New Orleans Saints team. This was before the era of Free Agency. Archie was stuck on a loser and he couldn't do anything about it. I bet Archie talked with his son and helped him in his decision. The Chargers, historically, aren't a very good team. When the 2004 draft rolled around the Chargers were coming off a 4-12 season and hadn't finished better than .500 in a decade. Can anyone really argue with his decision? Imagine you're coming out of college, there are 32 companies that want to hire you. This is your career. Are you going to work for a craphole company that hasn't performed well just because they have first rights to your name? Hell no.

The Chargers made out just fine on the deal. They got Philip Rivers in the trade with New York and a few draft picks, one of which they used to get Shawne Merriman.

Any lingering angst in San Diegeo towards Eli is just sour grapes.
