I caught the first half of the Everton- Man City match today. Landon Donovan was in good form. The entire toffee midfield was in good form for that matter.

I was more impressed with Donovan's defensive work than his distributing prowess ( I already knew he could deliver the ball with precision).

In his other appearance, the only criticism he received was his lack of defending. Looks like he has done lots of homework

I was also impressed with his versatility. The role he is playing for the toffees is vastly different than his US/LA roles back home. You never see him out wide swinging in crosses and making horizontal runs for the Galaxy (except corner kicks). He looks right at home with his new job, good for him

United States midfielder DaMarcus Beasley's BMW car has been set on fire outside his home in Glasgow.

Police in the Scottish city are continuing to investigate Monday night's incident, which it describes as "willful fireraising."

"Someone blew up my car," Beasley wrote Wednesday on Twitter. "I'm doin ok, just glad no one got hurt."

Beasley, who moved to Glasgow in 2007, added: "In the market for a new car! Lol..Gotta try to find some humor."

Rangers has described it as a "disturbing and deplorable incident."

What the heck is going on over there? Is racism really that bad, or is it more likely a Rangers/ hoops thing?

Yeah I saw that this morning he's the latest Rangers player to have his car targeted but this goes beyond smashed windscreens or scratched doors I am just glad nobody was hurt and hope the police catch these morons. It's safe to say this was done by some moronic Celtic fans as this happened just hours after Celtic pretty much threw away the league after getting beat by Kilmarnock.

Turns out this car attack had nothing to do with who he plays for and more to do with the fact he was doing a John Terry

Clint Dempsey scored the winner in in Fulham's 4-1 victory over Juve thursday. He didnt start, but knocking one of the Italian giants out must feel great
