Istanbul came in second place, but Tokyo won the clear majority of votes to host the 2020 Olympic Games. I would have liked to see Istanbul host. Japan's already hosted a few times, twice now for Tokyo alone.

I'm a sucker for the Olympics. It's really the only time that I wish I had cable/dish/whatever.

I'm kind of anti-Japanese. Just because of their whaling and denying their past war crimes (I mean, really!?). Beautiful country and all, I just don't trust those folks.
Like you said, odd that Japan's hosted the games as often as they have.
